Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Aircraft Technician specializing in paint to join our team. In this 100 onsite contract role, youll handle painting, touch-ups, and detailing for aircraft components. The position involves surface prep, painting, and inspections to meet FAA and customer standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for painting, including repairs, sanding, and taping.
Perform inspections before and after painting.
Apply stripes and details as per customer specifications.
Operate various tools, equipment, and measuring devices.
Ensure work complies with FAA regulations and customer requirements.
Train and support junior employees.
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in automotive or aviation painting.
Proficient in paint prep and application, including basecoat/clear coat systems.
Ability to read and interpret sketches and diagrams.
Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and perform physical tasks like bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
Work Environment:
100 onsite in Columbus, MS, with possible travel.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
Citizenship Requirement: Due to government regulations
This role supports the production of world-class helicopters in a dynamic and quality-focused environment.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
