Job Description:
A vacancy for a Performance Improver (m/f) has arisen within Airbus D&S in its Final Assembly Line (FAL) located in Getafe. The successful applicant will join the Performance and Improvement team and will support its continuous improvement journey.
The Performance & Improvement team is the reference for improvement in the MRTT FAL. This team is proud to be diverse, united, and skilled. You will be a dynamic catalyst for the FAL performance!
The mission of Performance & Improvement team is:
- to define, develop and implement a complete set of performance indicators to support business decision-making.
- to measure business performance and to identify deviations to the targets, in an harmonized way in Airbus D&S Operations perimeter.
- to help the operational teams and corresponding support functions to be able to achieve our targeted performance.
- to be recognized by the expertise in operational excellence tools & methods and by the capacity to influence on management and organizational changes.
- to contribute to and get advantage of the improvement network in Airbus Defence & Space.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- driving improvement initiatives according to LBIP&43; methodology and support projects implementation results in the plant.
- establishing the use of operative performance indicators, monitor and report business KPIs.
- Continuously improving the implementation of Operations Excellence System in the FAL.
- Identifying performance issues, support the root cause elimination.
- Training the plant population on the necessary Airbus D&S standards.
- Driving the digital transformation in the FAL facilitating the utilisation by the end-users of diverse IT Tools (Tablets, Hololens glasses, etc).
- Managing cultural and digital changes within the organization.
- Fostering the generation of improvement ideas and the empowerment of the operational teams.
- Easing management decisions by quantifying the impact of the improvement projects.
- Aligning improvement activities of the different areas with the business priorities.
- Promoting best practices sharing for continuous improvement with rest of Airbus FALs & plants.
Required skills
You have the experience (required years) and the following skills (proficiency level required):
- Educated to degree level in Aeronautical/Industrial Enginneering or a related field is desired.
- Team management (less than 3 years)
- Project Management (less than 3 years)
- Proven experience in Operations Excellence System (OES) deployment or Airbus Operating System (AOS) in other industries (Toyota Production System or similar).
- Auditing/Assessing
- Drive Improvement, Quality & innovation
- Practical Problem Solving
- Language skills: English (Advanced Level) and Spanish (Fluent)
