THE WORK
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) is looking for an experienced Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) to work in a dynamic high tempo environment. The successful candidate will work in Hanover Maryland and: develop, implement, administer security policy and procedures for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs. The successful candidate should understand Industrial Security regulations and applicable Federal Security regulatory guidance consistent with DOD 5105.21 SCI Manuals, Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 and 32 CFR Part 117. Be sufficiently knowledgeable of Top Secret Controls and Accountability exercises & OPSEC. Understand the established procedures for handling, storing, record keeping, and granting personnel and visitor’s access to restricted programs. Overseeing all Security related disciplines to include: Physical Security w/ ICD 705; Classification Management; Personnel Security (PERSEC); Security Education; & Security Management while utilizing the requirements set forth in the DoD Manuals. Develop and conduct security education and training programs for SCI. Be able to investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive actions to be taken. Able to respond to alarm activation(s) after hrs.

Basic Qualifications:
1. Must have an active TS/SCI w/Full Scope Poly and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI
access(es).
2. Must be able to obtain and maintain clearance and access(es).
3. Knowledge of Advanced Programs Security requirements and Operations Security (OPSEC).
4. Knowledge of DoD 5105.21 Volumes 1-3, ICD 705 Physical Security Specifications, & DoD 5205.07 Volumes 1-4,.
5. Works well independently and in group settings while displaying substantial CSSO and/or CPSO experience.
6. Excellent written, verbal, and customer interface skills.
7. Ability to multi-task and remain organized.
8. CSSO/FSO Certification (ideally via MPO)
Desired Skills:
1. Certificates and/or experience in regards to DOD 5105.21 SCI Manuals. CSSO Certification (ideally with MPO).
2. Certificates and/or experience in regards to ICD 705 Physical Security and recent buildouts.
3. Successful completion of the CDSE SAP Mid-Level Security Management Course is preferred.
4. Certificates and/or experience in regards to DOD 5205.07 Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals SAP/SCI Nomination Process.
5. Have excellent communication skills to include verbal and written, as well as seasoned professional with tact and diplomacy being key.
6. Be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently, as well as make significant contributions in a team environment.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $82,100 - $157,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
