Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team based in Columbus, Mississippi.
Our Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) provides professional level HR support to their customers at Airbus Helicopters, Inc. Their broad knowledge of HR programs and practices enables them to guide and advise on all HR topics, both operational and strategic. The HRBP is responsible for delivering high quality, customer-focused service, supporting all levels of employees by developing, implementing, administering and maintaining HR projects, programs, processes and policies, as well as supporting employee engagement. This position will work with individuals and teams, both nationally and internationally to deliver projects on behalf of Airbus teams.

On the eastern border of Mississippi you’ll find Columbus, home to our Helicopter manufacturing and assembly lines and Center of Excellence for the entire North America region. It’s here that we produce the UH-72A Lakota Helicopters for the U.S. Army in addition to the H-125 aircraft for civil and commercial customers.

Partners with assigned client groups and leadership team to execute strategic initiatives.
Develops and manages client group strategies to include, but are not limited to: Employee Relations, Organization Development and Design, Change Management, Performance Management, Leadership Development, Employee Training & Development, Succession Planning, Talent Acquisition and Retention, Compensation & Benefits.
Actively participates with the business leaders and their teams to ensure relevant information on all HR related business activities are understood, acted upon and cascaded appropriately.
Acts as the primary and highly visible business partner to assigned client groups. Coaches and supports group leadership to build effective teams and to achieve business goals.
Builds relationships with all stakeholders by learning the business operations in order to help drive business and team performance.
Anticipates and influences HR related needs by maintaining a comprehensive understanding of business objectives, strategies, and challenges
Anticipates potential resistances to change, taking the work culture and social and business environment into consideration and influences leaders to reassess how work is done.
Partners with cross-functional and regional HR subject matter experts to execute programs to support talent management, career planning, leadership coaching, learning and development, and strategic organizational development.
Consults with assigned leadership groups to drive talent management strategies and efficiencies within the team
Identifies potential risk areas/future issues and deescalates conflict whenever possible
Actively engages and suggests improvements to initiatives that help promote a positive corporate culture
Implements and maintains policies and programs that support and improve the positive culture and engagement of the workforce.
Participates in cross functional initiatives within the HR community to ensure communications and collaboration on projects, planning and programs.
Complete HRIS and other system updates for assigned divisions to reflect changes in workforce.
Ensures high quality and consistent HR services are delivered to employees and management for customer groups.
Leads meaningful career coaching, including following through with professional development goals
Assists with preparation and fulfillment of job requisitions, including supporting hiring managers with workforce planning, completion of valid and accurate job descriptions, obtaining compensation information, posting of requisitions, working with recruitment teams, interviewing candidates, and advising on fair and compliant selection criteria.
Assists with visa/immigration requirements for on-boarding foreign nationals.
Regulatory/Employee Relations: 45
Enforces consequential management when appropriate
Actively engages and listens to employees, responding appropriately and in a timely manner
Leads and performs investigations of routine employee matters independently and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Investigates and facilitates resolution of routine employee complaints and allegations.
Acts as an arbitrator of management and employee concerns ensuring fair process and treatment for all involved
Ensures full compliance with relevant legal matters protecting the interests of the business and employees
Participates in employee activities and engagement event planning, coordination and execution
Conducts exit interviews and provides feedback to the management team.
Gives regulatory guidance for various HR functions including, but not limited to, recruitment, affirmative action, equal employment, and reasonable accommodation considerations, etc.
Prepares and submits reports and data for regulatory agencies and defends them in audits
Your Boarding Pass:
Bachelor’s Degree; or equivalent work experience
Minimum of four (4) years of progressive Human Resources experience in areas such as employee relations, performance management, talent development, or other HR centric areas
