PDS Tech is hiring a Manufacturing Process Technician to support a heavy industrial manufacturing operation in Charlotte, NC. This is a night shift, temp-to-hire position offering a 4-day workweek, hands-on training, and the opportunity to build experience operating manual machines, industrial equipment, and material handling systems.
Manufacturing Process Technician• Location: Charlotte, NC
• Shift: 4 x 10 Night Shift Monday – Thursday 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
• Training: 1st Shift (5:30 AM – 4:00 PM) for 2–3 months
• Pay Rate: Up to $22.06/hour
• Assignment Type: Temp-to-Hire (W2)
Position Overview• Operate manual machines and industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Support production through material handling, machine operation, and basic inspection
• Work with grinders, mills, grit blasting equipment, rollers, furnaces, and related tools
• Maintain safe and efficient production processes while following work instructions
Key Responsibilities• Operate and assist with manual machining and production equipment
• Perform grit blasting, grinding, and related surface finishing tasks
• Use air tools such as grinders and air hammers for production work
• Support furnace operations, airflow stands, and spot welding processes
• Move materials using forklifts, cranes, and hand trucks as needed
• Handle blasting and coating media changes, including 50-gallon barrels
• Use basic inspection tools such as micrometers, depth gauges, and tape measures
• Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and production specifications
Required Qualifications• Manufacturing, industrial, construction, or mechanical experience preferred
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical, active work
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors as needed
• Ability to obtain forklift and crane certification
• Ability to wear a respirator if required
• Strong reliability, attendance, and safety mindset
Preferred Qualifications• Experience with manual machines or industrial production equipment
• Background in blasting, grinding, coating, or metal finishing
• Familiarity with basic inspection and measuring tools

Pay Details: $22.06 per hour
