Job PurposeThe Procurement department ensures efficient outsourcing and contracting of all aircraft-related commodities, including fleet, power plants, and equipment. Organized by commodity lines such as avionics, power plants, and airframe systems, we collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, and insurance teams to meet business needs with optimal terms. We manage supplier relationships and oversee warranty and product support, including contract administration and digital archiving. Our team negotiates extensively to secure and administer top product support, ensuring the highest standards of performance and integrity for our aircraft.
Senior Repairs Assistant (Cabin & IFE) is responsible for inspection and processing of unserviceable components for repair /overhaul / modification or disposal at facilities within Emirates and external service providers. Ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements while handling unserviceable components and associated documentations. Providing analytical support for the processes and functions to ensure highest level of performance monitoring to enable material support for fleet operations.
In this role you will:
- Conduct physical receipt inspections of components returned from maintenance, verifying unserviceable label data against part identification and completing initial receipt transactions in Ultramain.
- Generate Part Inspection Tags and record all relevant findings in accordance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Determine warranty and guarantee applicability for parts or fleets; prepare documentation to support claims and financial recoveries.
- Manage segregation and quarantine of parts designated for disposal, ensuring full regulatory compliance and securing required technical and financial approvals before release for mutilation.
- Review Engineering Orders and Service Bulletin dispositions, attaching required documentation prior to processing disposals.
- Initiate TDRS and Infospace cases for components with applicable alerts, configuration changes, deferred repairs, or surplus categorizations.
- Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards across all repair process locations, ensuring safe, secure, and timely movement of components.
- Prepare parts for external shipment, ensuring correct packing, secure handling, and compliance with Repair Orders, Station Holdings, and outsourced check requirements.
- Produce all shipment documentation in accordance with customs, governmental, and dangerous goods regulations.
- Provide analytical support to drive improvements in in-house repair capability, supplier performance, and KPI reporting to strengthen overall material support.
QualificationTo be considered for this role you must meet the following requirements:
- 12 years of schooling or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Engineering Planning, Maintenance, or a related discipline.
- You will have an edge if you have experience in supply chain management, repairs management, material planning, or component repair within an airline or maintenance organisation.
