About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join the Qatar Airways Talent Acquisition Team as Senior Pharmacist - Dispensary Services. This role is responsible to manage the daily operation of the QR Medical Centre dispensary services at multiple locations, ensure that all branches are fully stocked, and formulary is regularly updated to meet the clinics demand. Also, responsible to monitor the daily sales, forecast for the required stock at multiple locations to achieve the revenue set by the management without increasing the pharmaceutical waste.
Your duties would include:
- Forecast and budget for the annual supplies required for dispensary operation.
- perform analysis of spanet availability and customer demand and implement strategies to increase revenue and achieve the annual sales target set by the management.
- Responsible for the execution of all dispensaries opening and closing activities; either directly, or through delegation to a staff Company Pharmacist.
- Oversee and manage dispensary daily operation to ensure Compliance with the national regulations, Qatar Airways policies and Group Medical Division operating procedures
- Plan, conduct and participate in monthly audit program to ensure pharmacy staff compliance with Qatari Law, Pharmacy and drug control regulations and internal policies.
- Manage dispensary sales and forecast for stock purchases in such away where stock availability is increased while outdated stock, and overstocking is maintained at the minimum value.
- Discuss clinic demand with physicians, promote new products and update clinicians on drug updates and answer any clinical questions.
- Introduce new products to dispensary portfolio, work with Supply Chain on procurement plan and liaise with spaneting team to increase the sale.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to identify, plan and maintain the resources required for the smooth running of the clinic operation while expanding into a multiple location.
- Identify and evaluate strategic deals and partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders that drive the department strategy forward.
- Work closely with QR Procurement and Group Medical Division Procurement Committee to review all procurement requests to take a cost-effective decision according to QR Policies.
- Expand pharmacy services to include sourcing, ordering and storing of vaccines, forecast for annual demand according to the clinic operation.
- Responsible for developing the process of ordering, transporting, storing and dispensing and for keeping an accurate record of all pharmaceuticals as well as Psychotropic and Narcotic substances journals for the dispensary services,
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

Qualifications
We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our Group Medical team. The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience
Essential
- Able to hold Pharmacist License to practice in Qatar
- Experience working in a clinical set-up and/or experience working in a retail set-up
- Excellent clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge and experience in managing stock and daily sales
- Excellent knowledge in understanding financial reporting and annual stock closer process
- Excellent communication skills including command of English Language and excellent stakeholders management
- Analysis and revenue management
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinates skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
Preferred
- Qualifications in spaneting, business administration and finance are preferred
- Working for Multinational/Aviation is preferred
- Experience working in Qatar
- Clinical pharmacist license
- Experience working in multinational organization
