Job Description:

As Manager dnata Cargo Business Support you will direct the structure, plan and performance of the department comprised of quality and standards, planning (manpower, equipment and facilities), training and centralised administration. You will also lead and manage the business improvement plan of dnata Cargo through identification and implementation of operational practices and processes that enable delivery of the divisional strategy.



In this role, you will:



  • Lead delivery of workforce planning, optimisation and outsource management within the division through implementation of frameworks, standards, and methodologies for operational areas.

  • Collaborate with department heads to establish performance metrics related to manpower and facilities and drive adherence to financial control targets in the deployment of resources.

  • Support executive decision making and strategy development through the provision of predictive workforce planning insights.

  • Lead the department through establishment of an appropriate organisational structure, assignment of tasks and resources to meet service standards, monitoring performance and development, and maintaining succession plans for key roles.

  • Manage multiple high value and complex (equipment and facilities) projects simultaneously by tracking performance of specialised contractors handling the projects. Ensure timely management of project decisions, issues, and risks.

  • Manage budget for cross divisional initiatives including forecasting future requirements and driving adherence to financial control targets and Group reporting requirements.

  • Lead on all contract agreement negotiations or amendments with vendors to achieve optimum value for investment.

  • Establish and maintain a performance management framework for external vendors and suppliers; resolve service failure and actively appraise new contractors and suppliers to ensure optimal service.

  • Drive improvement and consistent utilisation of the divisional analytics and reporting framework.

  • Establish policies, frameworks and processes to meet and maintain compliance of the division with local and global standards and certifications.

Job Requirements:

To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:



  • Bachelor’s Degree or Honours.

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience.

  • Experienced leader of people, including virtual teams and roles involving indirect influence and senior stakeholder management.

  • Applied knowledge of advanced manpower planning principles.

  • Current knowledge of the technological landscape relevant to workforce planning and optimisation.

  • Proficient in interpretation of data and extrapolation of insights.

  • Advanced planning and analytical capability.




You will have an edge, if you have:



  • Background in physics, engineering or statistics.

  • Well-rounded knowledge and experience in aviation, airport operations, manufacturing, warehousing, robotics or programme management.
