DDBB (DataBase) Product Delivery Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly capable DDBB Product Delivery Manager to enhance the performance of our organization&39;s database. To ensure success as a DDBB Product Delivery Manager, you should possess extensive knowledge of database architecture and experience in a similar role.

Main Responsibilities:

• Sets the operating standards and best practices for DBMS.  Following predefined general standards of practice carries out planned necessary interventions to implement solution, including installing, upgrading or decommissioning.
• Acts systematically to identify compatibility of software and hardware specifications. Documents all activities during installation and records deviations and remedial activities.
• Developing database structures and features according to organizational needs. Creates databases in coordination with the relevant Systems administrators and Project managers
• Ensures the integrity of existing databases by securing hardware (backup procedures, data recovery, logging, post-incident start-up, etc.) and electronic information (confidentiality, access)
• Performing database maintenance, migration, and upgrading hardware and software. Documenting processes and complying with best practices in database management.
• Systematically interprets user problems identifying the solutions and possible side effects. Uses experience to identifying user problems and interrogates database for potential solutions. Is a technical coordinator between project Managers and developers&39; technical support teams.
• Implements and provides guidance for the evolution of a DBMS solution. Efficiently controls and schedules software or hardware modifications to prevent multiple upgrades creating unpredictable outcomes.
• Ensures the integrity of the system by controlling the functional updates, software or hardware additions and maintenance activities. Complies with budget requirements.
• Takes proactive steps to ensure a stable and secure DBMS infrastructure. Systematically analyses performance data and communicates findings. Tracks reliability data against service level agreement.  Conducting diagnostic tests and evaluating performance metrics.
• Protecting data by developing data security and restoration policies, procedures, and controls. Implements information security policy regarding DBMS. Ensures that security risks are analyzed and managed with respect to enterprise data and information. Reviews security incidents and makes recommendations for continuous security enhancement.
• Keeping up to date with developments and trends in database management.

Main skills Requirements:

Bachelor&39;s degree in management information systems (MIS), computer science, information systems, or information technology.

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in database management.
• In-depth knowledge of Oracle database technologies, architecture, and data security.
• Knowledge of best practices in database management.
• Advanced analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
