Northrop Grummans Talent Organization is seeking a Change Management Practitioner to help drive large-scale organizational change.  This position will support the team’s development and implementation of organizational approaches and practices to enable top tier business performance.

The successful candidate will know how to advance business objectives by facilitating the people side of change, which may include changes to business processes, systems and technology, organization structures, job roles and more.

This position will be located in Falls Church, VA and will report to the Manager, Organization Effectiveness. Hybrid and/or remote work will be considered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Support enterprise-level change management efforts and culture change initiatives that have people, process and technology implications.

  • Apply change management processes / tools to develop and implement effective change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption, improve organization performance, and increase operational efficiencies.

  • Integrate change management activities into project plans; provide subject matter expertise, coaching and guidance to project teams.

  • Conduct change management assessments, including impact analyses, change readiness, stakeholder identification and develop appropriate plans and countermeasures.

  • Identify, assess and prepare risk mitigation tactics, including plans to manage anticipated resistance to change.

  • Partner with stakeholders and team members to coordinate efforts to achieve objectives.

  • Define success metrics and monitor progress against goals across the change management portfolio and recommend enhancements.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 Years of relevant experience in Organization Effectiveness and/or Organization Development or related disciplines; 3 Years with a Masters; 1 Year with a PhD.

  • Experience facilitating organizational transformation and change management initiatives with substantial project management skills.

  • Ability to collaborate, lead, and build rapport across all levels of the organization to include C-level executives.

  • Ability to create compelling presentations aimed at influencing and aligning key stakeholders.

  • Ability to develop and manage key communications.

  • Experience defining and measuring success metrics and monitoring change progress.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, SharePoint).

PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS:

  • Ability to apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities, including prior experience supporting enterprise-wide digital transformation efforts at a large organization and/or Change Management certification or designation.

  • Experience in preparing and delivering training programs.

  • Exceptional listener, verbal and written communicator able to clearly and succinctly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.

  • Exceptional relationship building skills and ability to influence decision making without direct authority at all levels of the organization.

  • Forward-looking problem solver, capable of identifying root causes, appropriate mitigation plans and grounded in the academic/theory but with practical implementation approaches.

  • Organized with demonstrated strength in strategy planning and tactics.

  • Previous experience in the Aerospace & Defense or Engineering & Science industries (complex matrixed organization) or large consulting firm with deep implementation experience.

Salary Range: $80,600 - $121,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
