What YOU will do:

 As a Program Manager will be responsible for the overall operation of the specific aircraft maintenance as assigned by the Director of Maintenance to minimize delays and increase production and efficiency. He/she shall plan, direct, lay out and coordinate the activities of departments to minimize delays.

  • Ensure that each individual aircraft project is managed for maximum efficiency and quality.
  • Train and assist subordinates in the use of proper procedures, methods and practices to be followed in each respective duty.
  • Ensure that all shop equipment and tools are available and maintained in a serviceable and working condition.
  • Maintain the premises of the Repair Station in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Be directly responsible for the proper and efficient use of all APG mechanics.
  • Evaluate departmental operations recommending improvements in quality, productivity and employee relations. Implement programs and/or procedures that strive for excellence in quality as maintained by VT SAA‘s Quality Assurance program. Resolve departmental problems by identifying the problem, researching alternatives, analyzing the costs and benefits, implementing the best alternative and evaluating the end results.
  • Evaluate the performance of the Project Managers that were assigned under his/her supervision.

What YOU need:

  • 2 years college preferred
  • Current FAA A&P License Required.
  • 5 years commercial avaiton maintenance or 5 years of military equivilent aviation experience.
  • 3 years supervisory capacity.
