Job Description:
M1 Support Services (M1) is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Technical Trainer CH-47F to support our Fort Rucker Training Department. This position reports to M1s Fort Rucker Training Manager. The Technical Trainer is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs supporting CH-47F aircraft maintenance operations. This role ensures personnel are trained, qualified, and compliant with applicable technical, safety, and operational requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs for aircraft specific systems and maintenance operations
• Conduct training needs assessments and develop Job Qualification Standards (JQS) and task lists
• Create course materials, lesson plans, and instructional aids
• Research, assess, and confer with management, customer representative, or other personnel as necessary to determine training needs
• Deliver classroom and hands-on training, including new hire, recurrent, and upgrading training
• Track and document training completion, certifications, and program effectiveness
• Maintain and update training records to certify and document all training in accordance with ISO 9001-2000
• Administer testing and evaluate trainee performance
• Provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel and support operational compliance
• Perform trend analysis to identify training gaps and improve program effectiveness
• Coordinate training schedules and requirements with supervisors and leadership
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure customer requirements are met
• Ensure compliance with technical manuals, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Supervise practical work carried out by personnel in On-the-Job Training (OJT), and assist them at points of difficulty Qualification Standards:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum:
o 5 years aviation maintenance experience o 2 years of CH-47F experience o 1 year experience in training, instruction, or curriculum development
• Formal military or industry training in maintenance management or instructor qualification preferred
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional methods
• Ability to develop training materials and deliver instruction in classroom and field environments
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and maintenance data Revised 05/05/2026
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications:

• Instructor certification or graduate of a recognized instructor training course
• FAA A&P certification
• Experience with ISO 9000 quality systems and problem-solving methodologies Other Requirements:

• Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work in both office and aircraft maintenance environments Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:

• This classification activity is normally accomplished in an office environment; however, it does have duties that require the individual to work outside the office environment.
• Typical physical demands or activities outside of the office environment include climbing, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, kneeling, reaching and walking.
• May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds.
• Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
• During the performance of duties outside the office environment, the diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort to an environment where inclement weather may subject individuals to changes in temperature and weather.
• May be exposed to areas where high noise hazards prevail.
• May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
• May be exposed to electrical shock hazards.
