Job Title: Structures Technician
Job Description
The role of a Structures Technician involves research and technical data application for inspection, repair, and replacement of aircraft sheet metal structures, such as main landing gear fittings, aircraft skins, and floor beams, following maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
- Plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal parts, equipment, and products using knowledge of metallic and nonmetallic materials, machining, and layout techniques.
- Select gauge and type of sheet metal or nonmetallic material according to product specifications.
- Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials using scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers.
- Perform maintenance work including repair and maintenance of company equipment and shop housecleaning.
- Make appropriate entries in Component Removal Log, complete identification tags, and repairable/parts routing tags upon removing components from aircraft.
- Ensure proper documentation on training records for training received and sign off on routine and non-routine work cards.
Essential Skills
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience in the aircraft industry.
- Experience with commercial aircraft larger than a CRJ 900, preferably Boeing and Airbus.
- Proficient in sheet metal repair, riveting, drilling, and aircraft modification.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Valid drivers license.

Work Environment
The work schedule is from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The role involves physical demands such as sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, with frequent bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Equipment operated includes hydraulic press brakes, power shears, and rivet guns. The job is primarily located at the B777 Cargo Conversion Program but may require work across different areas. Safety gear including goggles, face shields, and harnesses are mandatory due to exposure to noise, temperature changes, and machinery.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $39.12 - $46.00/hr.
