Job Title: Sr. Quality Inspector
Job Description
Quality Inspector plays a hands-on role ensuring complex aerospace components and assemblies meet strict quality and safety standards. You will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and production teams to inspect, validate, and release critical hardware across multiple stages of build. This role is ideal for an experienced inspector who brings strong judgment, technical depth, and a safety-first mindset.
Responsibilities
- Perform receiving, in‑process, and final inspections on aerospace components and assemblies.
- Inspect workmanship against manufacturing work instructions and standard industry practices.
- Review work orders, build records, and inspection documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Inspect for defects, damage, proper identification, and dimensional accuracy.
- Use measuring devices and precision measurement tools to verify part conformity.
- Generate and document Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) within electronic quality systems.
- Ensure proper tagging, identification, quarantine, and disposition of nonconforming material.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
- Communicate inspection results and acceptance criteria to engineering and production teams.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, FOD prevention, and regulatory protocols.
- Provide technical guidance and informal training to other quality inspectors as needed.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental projects.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Aerospace Quality Inspection.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
- Knowledge of AS9100 / QMS standards.
- Experience in quality control and root cause analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Hands‑on aerospace inspection experience using a variety of precision measurement tools.
- Exposure to prototype, experimental, or advanced aerospace manufacturing.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification.
- Basic math and technical writing skills.
- Experience supporting root cause and corrective action investigations.

Work Environment
Work in a manufacturing site with a schedule of 4/10, from 6am-4:30pm Monday through Thursday. This role requires adherence to strict safety and regulatory protocols, ensuring a secure and efficient work environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tustin, CA 92782.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
