Job Description:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • Tyonek Services Group provides full on-site / off-site maintenance and MTF/FCF operations to support the US Army Flight Test Directorate AFTD at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The support is conducted in accordance with current Army directives, including but not limited to, AR 95-1 and AR 95-20.
  • Areas for support include the completion of all aircraft maintenance, fault isolation and troubleshooting, maintenance test flights, modifications, instrumentation, and test support on AFTD aircraft.

DUTIES:

  • Acts as the liaison between the maintenance team and test community.
  • Provides test planners and test executors with information and support pertaining to maintenance support capabilities, logistics requirements, safety concerns, risk mitigation recommendations, equipment operating details, test setup recommendations, test article availability, test equipment availability, support equipment requirements, and aircraft maintenance requirements.
  • Assists maintenance personnel as required with detailed test execution instructions/requirements, aircraft configuration changes, and test execution.
  • Advises Test Engineers on post test result reports and provides inputs to the Air Worthiness Committee
  • Advises and assists Production Control and Logistics with support requirements for test execution
  • Provides Test Engineers with current Maintenance status and test results
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must meet the minimum requirements for an Aircraft Mechanic Level II or Electronics Technician Maintenance Level II.
  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in aviation maintenance, test and/or related experience in a comparable aerospace industry of similar size and operational complexity.
  • Must have experience with Production Control and Quality Control functions
  • Must have experience with different aircraft configurations, to include avionics and ASE equipment
  • Must be able to read and interpret aeronautical drawings and written procedures and formulate project estimates.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization and provide above average communication skills and customer support mentality.
  • We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing.
  • Must have experience in working with MS Office suite of software.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
  • May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc.
