Our facility specializes in Business Aviation, focusing on 22 models of aircraft on the Airframe side while our Engine Shop performs comprehensive overhauls on Honeywell HTF7000 and TFE731 engines, APUs, and performs diagnostics in our state-of-the-art Test Cells.
As an Licensed Engines Mechanic at StandardAero in Augusta, GA, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, overhauls and major inspections on turbofan engines.
What to expect in this role:
- Perform routine maintenance and major inspections on Honeywell engine types and models.
- Participate in specialized training programs through partners like FlightSafety, CAE, and Honeywell
- Disassembly and re-assembly of Honeywell engine types and models.
- Remove and reinstall engines on aircraft for major periodic inspections and core zone inspections.
- Perform incoming and outgoing engine runs and line maintenance, as required.
- Accomplish all aspects of airframe removal and reinstallation, engine inspection and repair on road trips to accommodate customer aircraft.
- Inspects engine in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance manuals.
- Evaluates removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies (squawks).
- Document all work accomplished in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
- Accomplishes Service Bulletins, Repair Letters and Airworthiness Directive as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with working in a turbofan engine shop environment
- Prior experience utilizing and navigating technical digital documents.
- A valid FAA Powerplant certificate required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- High School diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a Business Aviation MRO environment
- 1+ years of experience supporting Honeywell engines and/or APUs
- Experience working on the Honeywell HTF7000 and/or TFE731
- Valid FAA A&P License
