Job Summary:
The M13 Level B Inspector will use and interpret technical drawings, inspection manuals, and specifications to ensure that production processes, parts, and assemblies meet the required standards. The role involves verifying tools, preparing and maintaining quality records, and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality management systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace airframe assembly inspection and a strong understanding of inspection procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize and interpret drawings, inspection manuals, specifications, and precision measuring instruments to complete work assignments.
- Work with specialized inspection machines, tools, and equipment as required.
- Apply knowledge of Quality Management System Policies and Procedures to ensure product quality.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and specifications to maintain compliance.
- Perform inspections on parts, processes, and assemblies to accept or reject them according to established standards.
- Verify that tools and equipment are qualified for use.
- Prepare and maintain accurate quality records.
- Work across equivalent or lower-level Inspector job codes as needed.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues and team members.
- Demonstrate strong computing skills to track and manage inspection data.
Required Qualifications:
- Punctual and reliable, with a strong commitment to daily attendance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required training certifications during the assignment.
- Availability to work any shift, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, and periods of heavy overtime.
- At least 5 years of experience in aerospace airframe assembly inspection.
- Strong experience in blueprint reading and interpreting technical documents.
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP.
- Experience writing Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) or Tags.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with SAP.
- Specialized experience with Boeing 737 Airframe/Fuselage inspections.
