AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Kinston, North Carolina that is one of the worlds largest manufacturers of aerostructures for commercial airplanes, defense platforms, and business/regional jets. With expertise in aluminum and advanced composite manufacturing solutions, the company’s core products include fuselages, integrated wings and wing components, pylons, and nacelles.

The Equipment Maintenance Technician performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment. Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Obtain and deliver material and equipment necessary to support plant maintenance and repair.
  • Work from diagrams, prints, specifications or verbal orders.
  • Use hand tools, powered tools and shop equipment.
  • Perform disassembly and assembly operations necessary to accomplish assignment.
  • Enter and retrieve data from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and order parts required to accomplish the tasks (except as relates to inventory, store, record, issue and anyother duties related to material support technician.) In addition, each employee may be asked, on occasion, to complete other duties and responsibilities as required by Spirit leadership. Training and certification will be provided for the additional work when required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is highly preferred.
  •  2-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in an industrial, manufacturing, or aerospace environment.
  • Strong understanding of industrial machinery, mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and automated equipment commonly used in aircraft manufacturing.
  • Proficient in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and performing repairs quickly and efficiently.
