How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) The Unit Load Device (ULD) repair mechanic is responsible for maintenance and repair of over 22,000 Delta ULDs and 60,000 galley items. The mechanic will repair containers and metal pallets in accordance with commercial maintenance manuals and certified policies and procedures.The mechanic will be safety focused and execute these critical duties and skills:Repair/assemble ULDs including aluminum and lightweight containers and heavy-duty pallets, ground handling equipment and galley carts.Perform pallet straightening.Maintain shop and facility cleanliness, utilizing appropriate resources and equipment.Ensure system security of the electronic recordkeeping system for maintenance actions. Ensure compliance with FAA and company policies and procedures, as well as adherence to Component Maintenance Manuals guidance.Perform any other duties as assigned by Leads and Department Managers.This position is full-time with a starting pay of $25.71 per hour.Eligible Delta employees based in New York City (JFK or LGA) can be reimbursed up to $250 per month for specific transportation expenses incurred while traveling to and from work.
