The successful candidate will:Have a working knowledge of GAAP and how it is applied to accounting processesUnderstand control processes, work directly with internal and external auditors to provide requested information and support, and be able to assist with and perform annual risk assessmentsPrepare accounting entries through use of data models and research in the SAP financial systemPerform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, general ledger research, and variance analysisReview and document controls and accounting processes, while seeking out opportunities to automate, increase efficiency, and streamline existing processesReview and summarize contracts, leases, and other legal documentsFacilitate internal and external reporting processes including monthly preparation and quality control of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow), internal reporting packages, and 10Q/10K disclosures

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Licensed CPAMinimum three years relevant experience (e.g., public accounting with a Big 4 or other top tier firm and/or corporate accounting / financial reporting)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build working relationships at all levels of the organizationContinuous improvement mindset, looks for ways to improve process efficiency and demonstrates flexibility in a changing environmentExhibits a positive attitude and inquisitive approach to problem solvingThe candidate should also possess a proven ability to work in a team environment and should be detail-oriented, self-directing, and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on deadlinesConsistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
