Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Safety Engineer to join our team. This full-time position plays a key role in supporting Fighter System Safety engineering, ensuring the safe design, development, and operation of complex systems. You will work with a talented team of engineers, perform risk assessments, and drive safety initiatives across military and government programs.


What You Will Be Doing:

As a Senior Systems Safety Engineer, you will:

Develop and maintain engineering requirements for System Safety.

Research, plan, and analyze hardware and software designs to identify safety risks.

Conduct safety risk assessments, recommending appropriate mitigation strategies in collaboration with Airworthiness and Chief Engineer.

Ensure the safe maintenance and operation of products throughout their lifecycle.

Analyze modifications to determine their impact on system safety.

Maintain safety assessment data, metrics, and tracking to measure progress and compliance.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering or related STEM degree

System Safety experience

Experience with military or government programs
Desired Skills:
Strong technical and analytical skills

Knowledge of Statistical Analysis Methods

Aircraft Systems Safety Engineering experience

Knowledge of FAA and military regulations and processes

Knowledge of MIL-STD-882

Experience with System Safety Analysis techniques such as Functional Hazard Analyses (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA) and others

Systems Engineering Experience on complex, integrated systems

Significant Experience in applying advanced System Safety principles, techniques, theories and concepts to program completion
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
