The Flight Physics capabilities domain is at the heart of aircraft architecture and integration, and we develop and maintain world-class software solutions for simulating a wide range of disciplines including loads & aeroelastics. Your mission:

You will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from product definition and design to implementation, documentation, and deployment. You will be expected to develop high quality code that can be easily maintained and quickly modified without losing sight of the end solution. You will also need to translate complex business requirements into robust solutions. We work closely with the various teams in Flight Physics to ensure we understand and meet their needs. Taking pride in both the technical and operational contribution of your work, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact. 

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

• You will design, code, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

• You will take an active role in understanding business requirements and translating them into technological solutions.

• You will ask questions, challenge assumptions and bring your unique perspective as a software engineer to the table. 

• Your responsibilities will also include using your technical expertise to support users.

• You will support the team by sharing knowledge, providing feedback, supporting others in their development, and showing leadership.

Your boarding pass:

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and hands-on experience in at least one modern programming language such as Python, C, C&43;&43;

• Good knowledge of Linux and ideally experience with Giseh and HPC.

• Passion for code quality. Experience in development with version control, static code analysis, unit testing and issue tracking would be an advantage.

• Experience with or a strong interest in Machine Learning and Design of Experiments (DoE) to optimize complex simulations and drive data-driven engineering decisions

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and expand your horizon.

• Interest in learning about flight physics and understanding how the tools you develop are being used.

• Good communication skills. You have to be an active and open collaborator and communicator, both within and outside the team.
