Pay Rate: $83.71 – $104.64 per hour
Shape the Future of Flight Control SystemsPDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Senior Flight Control Systems Integration & Safety Engineer to support the development, certification, and operation of cutting-edge flight control systems for large commercial aircraft. This is a hands-on opportunity to play a key role in aircraft safety, performance, and reliability, working within a world-class aerospace team.
What You’ll Do- Develop and decompose airplane-level requirements into system and component specifications.
- Perform system safety analysis, including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Common Cause Analysis.
- Lead and support certification efforts, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.
- Analyze, validate, and verify Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) system designs through testing.
- Support initial production efforts, resolving first-build challenges and ensuring manufacturing readiness.
- Provide technical expertise for fleet operations, supporting airlines and regulatory agencies on operational safety matters.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with avionics, pilot operations, safety teams, aerodynamics, and suppliers to optimize system integration.
What We’re Looking ForRequired:- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- 7+ years of technical experience in aerospace or a regulated industry.
- This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred:- Experience with ARP 4754 and ARP 4761 standards.
- Strong background in system safety analysis (FMEA, FTA, common cause analysis).
- Expertise in flight control system architecture, design, and verification.
- Proficiency with IBM Rational DOORS or similar requirement management tools.
- Familiarity with certification of safety-critical components and software.

Pay Details: $83.71 to $104.64 per hour
