Functional Test Avionics Technician

Aerotek Aviation has immediate long term opportunities, looking for Avionics Technicians to work on Helicopter Assembly Line and Flight Line Operations in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities

  • Avionics Technicians will be working on the TH-73 commercial helicopters.
  • Assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, conductors, and other electrical components.
  • Clearly document work performed, control equipment status tags, log critical information during installation, and verify parts requests.
  • Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and written instructions.
  • Use a variety of manual hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, wire cutters, heat shrink gun, and complex, specialized aircraft test equipment.
  • Effectively communicate, both orally and written, with other employees, members of supervision, and others as required in their duties.
  • Perform assigned duties on all shifts without encumbrances due to weather or physical location and conditions, while wearing required safety equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Avionics troubleshooting, functional testing, and ATP’s.
  • Experience with aircraft avionics, avionics systems, wiring, wire harness, schematic reading, avionics installation, avionics repair, and avionics troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in aircraft electronics, aircraft maintenance, aircraft assembly, soldering, and working with coaxial cables.
  • Knowledge of rotary or fixed wing aircrafts.
