Job Description:

Tasks

Your main tasks include, among others:

  • Receiving and Shipping of mainly aircraft material as per described procedures
  • Process storage and pulling of said material
  • Proactively work to resolve discrepancies as they occur
  • Support, cooperate, and communicate with all colleagues, including purchasing staff
  • Physical handling of material
  • Operate equipment as directed
  • Input data in EDP system in keeping with procedures
  • Coordinate with Lufthansa Cargo and other service providers as required
  • Work with and support Customer requirements
  • Perform record keeping and filing as needed
  • Recognize significance of required airworthiness certificates for aircraft material and properly applying associated regulatory requirements
  • Drive company vehicles for delivery/pickups on and around the airport

Requirements

The ideal Aviation Stores Specialist must fulfill the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in aviation logistics with experience in handling aviation material
  • Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook
  • Must have valid FL driver’s license
  • Ability to work under time pressure with high degree of accuracy
  • Willingness to work shifts, holidays, and/or weekends as necessary
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Training: DGR certified or ability to become certified
  • Must be able to operate forklift
  • Must be able to lift 70 lbs
  • Must be able to obtain authorization to access Airport Security Areas
  • Manage some contact with aircraft noise
  • Manage working in warehouse conditions affected by the environment
  • Must possess a legal work permit in the U.S.
