PURPOSE: The Pricing and Revenue Management Analyst helps determine product and pricing strategies that maximize company profit and growth. The analyst considers how best to accomplish long-term objectives by developing robust models and processes, collecting relevant information, identifying trends and truths, and communicating the best course of action clearly and concisely.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Optimize revenue strategy:
- Maximize total revenue by setting prices and availabilities for a set of markets.
- Ensure prices are competitive with other airlines across products and markets.
- Monitor booking levels to ensure demand is fully captured at the highest willingness to pay.
2) Support network growth:
- Analyze trends across bases, spokes, and markets.
- Provide inputs on marginal growth analyses.
3) Guide department and company leadership:
- Revenue strategy and forecast.
- Strategy effectiveness.
4) Other planning and pricing initiatives as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar analytical role.
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior with regards to travel planning, booking and departure seasonality, and price sensitivity.
- Demonstrated high level of proficiency with Excel, including building new models and improving and adapting existing models.
- Prior experience building dynamic reports with Excel.
- Strong critical thinking with an analytical approach to problem solving.
- Demonstrated the ability to work through complexity to identify root causes and develop effective and simple solutions.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, develop relationships and motivate performance.
- Tenacious problem solving and continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort taking direction and independently managing areas of responsibility.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver highly accurate and timely deliverables.
- Comfortable and casual-dress business environment, with occasional requirement for full business attire for meetings or presentations.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
X-FACTORS:
- Prior airline management or consumer pricing experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
