Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Goods In Controller at our Retail Operations Centre, based in Middlewich, Cheshire.
What will you do as a Goods In Controller?
- Carry out the correct unloading and accurate checking of stock as it arrives
- Ensure transport plans and internal safety plans are adhered to
- Booking in and allocation of stock once arrived
- Work closely with the Inventory Controllers to ensure efficient fulfilment
- Effective utilisation of Warehouse Management Systems
- Follow HRMC and CAA processes required for bonded stock
- Delivery of internal stock control KPI’s
- Operation of a variety of MHE including FLT & Reach
- Support the coaching of others to work in a customer and safety focused way
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience of goods in processes in a logistics/distribution environment. Previous experience of MHE and WMS is also required. You will be an effective communicator with a good knowledge of Health and Safety practices and will ideally have experience of supporting the training of operational colleagues.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake background checks including 5-year employment history and UK Criminal Record Check. There may also be the requirement to attend a 5-day Security Course.
